Does it matter which denomination
It does matter - a love of the truth
A love of Jesus if not anathema
Each will give account for them self on that day
He who keeps himself the evil one does not touch him
Revelation states he has his people (who remains spiritually pure in heart to him) even in the midst of the church obtaining rebukes (holding to bad doctrine, believing a false prophetess, and committing sexual immorality)
That being said I wouldn't make an idol out of finding the perfect church or group of people when our main goal our main task we follow Jesus not so worried about what Jesus is doing with John or any of his other servants. Who are we to be a judge?
According to scripture we have all the authority when led by the Holy Spirit to call out what is wrong look at Paul calling out Peter it is loving to guide those or lacking in knowledge into a greater understanding in a more perfect way for those who only knew the baptism of John and explaining the more perfect way Jesus the baptism of Jesus
Must also follow instructions to not be proud vanity puffed up in knowledge thinking we know something when we don't know as we ought to know
We're not to give heed to disputes about words genealogies , which create strife and confusion and disputes
Their secondary matters if they are matters at all; they're not salvation and a distraction from the enemy
He who sows Discord among the Brethren is an Abomination according to Old Testament and in the New Testament if you you not love your brother hates murderer no murderer has everlasting life in them
We are to do all is in the Jesus and if anyone causes one of the little ones to stumble, it's no good
Don't let there be many teachers among you they will receive the greater judgment and condemnation
When it's a matter of scriptural truth and obedience no matter which group you're in you give them the whole counsel of God rebuking those your contrary in love as a brother that they may repent and return making no excuses for send making no allowances for send making no provision for the flesh
putting evil one away from amongst us
for bad company corrupts good morals
do not eat or associate with anyone who calls himself a brother and is walking contrary
I realize when this is occurring
- that is faithful exposing of the unfruitful works of darkness, -
people will be offended, they will not be desirous to forsake their sin
they will turn away run away go away and go possibly to the church down the street
or if not they will hide their sin as in secrecy those who seek to cover their sin are disobeying God and must answer to Him
be sure that their sin will find them out
The beauty is as iron sharpens iron
one man sharpens another
exhort one another daily against the deceitfulness of sin
holy culture cannot be faked
cannot be replicated, at least it will be equal
hold us to yes to the highest standard
In order to be obedient we must confess our sins and he is faithful to forgive us our sins
We are to confess your faults to one another and be healed reconciled made whole do not be ignorant but wise concerning the will of God
Ephesians 5 15 through 17 (loose paraphrase version)
Jesus says there will be goats ,
And wolves in sheep's clothing among you,
there will be tares with the wheats you don't know you're not to know
you are to act right
for the love of God fills you
compels you, constrains you
blesses you
gives you everything you need for life and godliness
in true (oblation) service Worship in spirit and Truth
your body a Living Sacrifice
completely wholly dedicated
fully fervently in spirit in truth
worshiping the Lord your God
who is worthy
it is your reasonable act of worship and service
for God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son so that the world should not perish whoever believes in him has everlasting life
